Our Board of Directors

  • Bobbie Mudge, President

    Bobbie has been involved with the Companion Animal Clinic Foundation since before our 501(c)3 status was established in 2005. After years of writing grants, she took the reins as President in 2020. Bobbie is an accomplished horseman, as are her husband and two sons. She spends her evenings walking her two rescue dogs around the horse farms in her neighborhood.

  • Betsy Best, Vice President Fundraising

    A long-time resident of Southern Pines and Horse Country, Betsy has served on the CACF Board for 14 years. She is the Vice President of the CACF and heads up our fund raising efforts. Betsy believes that every step forward in the mission is to be celebrated!

  • Sam Dreher, Secretary

    The retired founder of a local investment firm, Sam has been secretary of CACF since 2014. He enjoys visiting the beach and shag dancing.

  • Torie Adelman, Treasurer

    Torie Adelman joined the CACF board in 2019. She has been a driving force in the financial stability and long-term sustainability at CACF. Torie has worked with non-profits for over 40 years, having volunteered for organizations specializing in animal welfare, child abuse, battered women, LGBTQ+ and substance use disorders. She lives in West End, NC with her spouse and two rescued Maine Coon mixes.

  • Salley Skeen, Corresponding Secretary

    Salley moved to Southern Pines with her family and her two Mini Schnauzers, Ruby and James, in 2000. She has a Masters of Arts in Education and taught Art at STARRS Middle School for several years. Upon retiring, she was encouraged by several friends to join the CAFC Board in 2015. Salley is currently serving as Corresponding Secretary.

  • Kate Holmes

    Kate Holmes was raised in the Sandhills, returning when she retired in 2016. She joined the CACF board in 2018 and leverages her 40-year career in advertising to write compelling grants. The fit is perfect as her love for animals is great. She has parented 11 dogs, 2 cats, 2 horses, 2 donkeys and a mini mule.

  • Kaily Sivils

    Kaily has been involved in local non profits and animal rescue groups her whole life. Joining CAFC in 2022, she primarily helps with fundraising and outreach. She co-owns Moore Equine in Southern Pines with her mom, has a coming 5 year old Hanoverian named Rabbit who she has raised from a baby, teaches yoga, is a reiki master practitioner, and is always finding outdoor adventures!

  • Lizzy Snow

    Lizzy joined the CACF Board in 2022. She is a five-time medalist at the North American Junior and Young Rider Championships and took her 4-star horse Coal Creek to Rolex in 2015. Lizzy has since retired her horse and herself from riding and now works as an attorney at Robbins May & Rich in Pinehurst.

  • Melissa Tatge

    Melissa joined the CACF Board in 2021 and has since been in charge of communications and building this website. She spends her days working in communications and design for non-profit clients and teaching her 4-year old Connemara-Thoroughbred how to be a proper riding horse.

  • Audrey Wiggins

    Audrey is an avid equestrian and a supporter of animal rescue groups near and far. She is currently a Director on the Board of the Carolina Horse Park Foundation and joined the CACF Board in 2021. In addition to her volunteer positions and her work as a Realtor and Broker in Charge at Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Lifestyle Property Partners in Southern Pines, she competes her two horses, enjoys cycling, is a long time pilates student, and spends time with her rescue kitties, Lacey and Luna as well as her office feral-turned-semi-domestic cat fondly called City Kitty.
